I wanted to write on a single subject for this issue, Pero too much is going on. So, I then decided I will touch on three things and then provide more context one item at a time. Hope that works for you, because it works for me.

Primero (First) I want to acknowledge the efforts of some area groups that have banded together to protect our children from ICE raids at school. Sabrina Bell with Indivisible TX 12 along with Sunrise Tarrant and Justice Network.

Collectively these good people presented a resolution to current FWISD Board that ensures students are protected. Which also protects parents when dropping off or picking up their children from school. Below is a part of the resolution they are hoping to get passed at the February Board meeting. As soon as we have final details I will share with you here and ask you to help support their action.

FWISD Board of Education, Resolution [XXXX]

WHEREAS, it is the right of every child, regardless of immigration status, to access a free public

K-12 education and the district welcomes and supports all students.

WHEREAS, the District has a responsibility to ensure that all students who reside within its

boundaries, regardless of immigration status, can safely access a free public K-12 education;

WHEREAS, federal immigration law enforcement activities, on or around District property and

transportation routes, whether by surveillance, interview, demand for information, arrest,

detention, or any other means, harmfully disrupts the learning environment to which all students,

regardless of immigration status, are entitled and significantly interfere with the ability of all

students, including U.S. citizen students and students who hold other legal grounds for presence

in the U.S., to access a free public K-12 education;

WHEREAS, through its policies and practices, the District has made a commitment to a quality

education for all students, which includes a safe and stable learning environment, means of

transportation to and from school sites, the preservation of classroom hours for educational

instruction, and the requirement of school attendance;

WHEREAS, parents and students have expressed to the District fear and confusion about the

continued physical and emotional safety of all students and the right to access a free public K-12

education through District schools and programs;

AND WHEREAS, educational personnel are often the primary sources of support, resources, and

information to assist and support students and student learning, which includes their emotional care.

What the Hell did Trump say

I try my best to ignore most of what Trump says or does, Pero sometimes I must scratch my head and say to myself “Did he really do/say that, no he didn’t’, he did” Here it is if some how you missed it;

Dear Jonas: Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace, although it will always be predominant, but can now think about what is good and proper for the United States of America. Denmark cannot protect that land from Russia or China, and why do they have a ‘right of ownership’ anyway? There are no written documents, it’s only that a boat landed their hundreds of years ago, but we had boats landing there, also. I have done more for NATO than any other person since its founding, and now, NATO should do something for the United States. The World is not secure unless we have Complete and Total Control of Greenland. Thank you! President DJT

There are many things wrong with it but by now you must have heard them all. However, Pero I could not leave this out. This along with all the other dumb Sh** he has done does not trigger invoking the 25^th amendment, God help us all. The talk is out there mostly elected Democrats, but some Republicans have showed some concern with all his Taking Greenland by ‘Hook or by Crook’.

Tarrant County Redistricting Lawsuit

By the time this article comes out on Friday you will be able to read the official Op-ED piece that will explain the reason why LULAC Council 4568 and local LWV of Tarrant County have reluctantly decided not to appeal the decision that the district Judge allows the gerrymandered map to proceed. She did not offer and no legal reason. My guess is that she is part of the Trump MAGA Machine that has taken over Tarrant County Republican politics.

There are lots more stuff to cover but I will stop here, until next week when we meet again. Meanwhile let us stop pretending everything is normal and just blindly head to the rodeo. Or any event that has ties to Tarrant County, cause if they do not care about us why should we continue giving them our money?

Same for stores like Home Depot and many others, working on a verified list and will start sharing next week.
