Romo Drives Cowboys to a Win

Tony engineered a come from behind win with about 3 minutes left that if season progresses the way it looks like now we may start referring to it as the Drive. Now as they say they don’t give out any trophies this time of the year but if they did Tony and Company would be on the list. The 80 yard winning drive included contributions by Demarco, Beasley with Dez catching a dart from Romo for the touchdown in the corner of end zone. Of course none of this happens without the offensive line that gave Tony all the time needed to finish with a win. All the line deserves the praise but in the conversation for Rookie of the Year is Zack Martin.
The first half was tough for the defense and the offense also sputtered a bit on their first possession. I wondered if they had forgotten they could run the ball. However give the Giants credit for putting together a good game plan against the Boys. But also credit the defensive coordinator for putting in second half adjustments, something that for years we could never dial up. As for the “Catch” Beckman Jr, is just a freak. Best Pro catch ever, possible? Overall the defense held up and the Barry Church interception stopped a Giant drive that could have changed the outcome. And at the end they stopped the Giants from going on what would have been a game winning score with about a minute left in the game, something that was unheard of for the last few years.
Tony Romo finished the game with 4 touchdowns 275 yards and QB rating of 143! Demarco finished with 121 yards his 10th 100 yard game of the year with Dez hauling in 2 touchdowns. New triplets? Getting harder to brush that off. This offense is among the best in the league and even the staunchest Romo haters have to admit that without Romo it all falls apart. Now come the Eagles for Thanksgiving showdown for first place in the NFC East, I like our chances. An aside to the game it will be only the second or third time two Quarterbacks of Mexican descent face off with Mark Sanchez coming to town. Visit www.nuestravozdetc.com on the Friday after for update. Happy Thanksgiving and as Jerry is apt to say “How ‘bout dem Cowboys.”
