BACKS!
Cowboys return to winning form with a convincing win (for 3 Quarters) over the mistake prone Bears, which reminded me of the Cowboys of old. Another reminder of last years Boy’s was courtesy of last night’s Cowboys; they would let teams hang around after building a sizable lead. But, as they say they don’t ask how you won, no, only if you won.

Romo was 21 of 26, 206 yards and 3 TDS, he did not take any unnecessary chances by hanging onto the ball to long, and he was sacked only once. Did not see any darts from him last night and he missed Whitten once but other than that he was close to perfect. Murray ran for 179 yards, caught passes for another 41 yards and at times looked like he was a man playing against boys. Dez had his share of big catches last night but it was little Beasley with the number 11 that had 2 TDs,which always makes old guys like me think,” Hey that Danny White’s number” (former Cowboy QB. Reserve back Joseph Randle also scampered in for a 17 yard rushing touchdown which may to start to allow most of us to forget his immature shoplifting incident. However the O line set the stage for this win by having a great game, after what was a real stinker of a game on Thanksgiving Day.
· As for the defense they showed the hustle and tenacity that early in the season was a welcomed surprise and now we have come to expect. While they did manage to create a lot of hurries, Cutler went untouched for the most part. However they did have a couple of key takeaways including stripping the ball from Chicago Back Fonte to stop a drive that appeared destined to result in points for Chicago. Cowboys got the ball on 31 and converted turnover into a touchdown. The other was the Scandrick interception in the end zone with a little over a minute left in the game and that basically ended the game and allowed the Cowboy offense to go to victory formation. As I have written before, this may not be Doomsday 111 but they continue to impress me and the most of Cowboy Fandom.
·
But yet we are all still concerned about allowing teams to hang around and at times they make it to close for comfort. But to quote the late Oakland Raiders Owner Al Davis “Just Win Baby’ “the 8 and 8 monkey is finally off our back. I expect Philly will see a different team next Sunday night.
