As yet another year comes to a close (they go quicker as you get older ) I did not want to miss out on thanking all that supported Nuestra Voz on this our Premier year. First to our readers both in print and online, thank you for all your kind words of support and encouragement. Whether you said you learned something new about our community or maybe we provided a needed chuckle.  Either way your words provide us with the fuel to keep going.

To our advertisers or Amigos in Business as I prefer to call them, your support makes it all possible without you there is no Nuestra Voz.   As for the people and organizations that were the subject of our stories, thank you for allowing us to share your story with our readers.  When asked to describe our publication in one simple sentence I say “We recognize people doing good things in our community and honor our history by keeping it alive”. We are excited about the stories we will be presenting in the New Year, some will be local, others will be National in scope either way our hope is to entertain and possibly educate.  In addition we are open to reader suggestions as we are true to our title Nuestra Voz.

Finally to or staff thank you for your commitment to our community I know it is your passion that keeps you going, because the money is not there yet, for any of us. Your reward for now is much like mine, when we find out one of stories was used as school lesson, a reader tells us a story really touched their heart, when I see a school child reading our publication at a local library, or  a Senior citizen saying “ Yea I remember that” referring to one of our historical perspective stories.

In closing I wish you all, a Merry Christmas and Prospers New Year May God continue to bless you and keep you safe

Que Viva La Raza.
