2015 Training Camp - Esto Y Lo Otro

Romo; I could say, “His back is back” but that would be cheap. According to Romo his offseason training was better and his back feels great so if did say that, I would be accurate, that is if I did say that. However he was held off last Friday’s afternoon practice due to a procedure to remove a sty from under his eye. Hey we (Fans) will certainly take that when you consider last season’s camp talk about Romo. Many had him possibly having to retire due his back issues and a lot of “Why have we not gotten a replacement for him yet” type talk. A sty under the eye is almost laughable and reminds me of an old Ticket Radio Show segment Gay or Not Gay? When asked about Dez signing he said “With Dez as your receiver he automatically makes you a better Quarterback and our Offensive coordinator a better coordinator, he said half-jokingly.

Dez; He was quoted as saying “It feels great to be back with the team” As for new contract he is satisfied with it and is glad it is over with. His goal is to be better than last year; physically, mentally and that may not necessarily show up in numbers but is a key to success. As a fan I am also happy to hear that he is a Cowboy at heart and expects to continue his positive chemistry with Romo and the rest of the team. After all what is 17mil when you got (Old Rap Song Lyric) Jerry Jones Monie.

Running Back; Running backs coach was asked by the media if there was a current back that could handle the carries that DeMarco had last year (392) he was one word response was “Slim”. No, instead they will rotate their backs to keep them all fresh, (In other words, you kidding these guys could not handle it). And talking about not being able to handle it, guess what? Our big acquisition from Oakland Darrin McFadden is out again with a hamstring injury again.  That is a recurring issue with McFadden; I had previously reported during OTAS that he suffered same injury then and was a constant issue in Oakland. Something tells me we will not be able to count on him much this season, but let’s hope I’m’ wrong. After all, most had Dallas in 5th place in their conference last season. In other words dead last, they were wrong, as we all know Cowboys ended the season as conference champs. As for running game we have basically been told anyone can run behind that line, I hope they’re right and if that is true I do not live too far from the stadium
